One of my favorite quick lunches or late night snack is a crispy, crunchy Croquetta. Obviously making them from scratch is always going to be preferable (unless you have a Cuban abuela, and then the best thing is for her to make them for you), but the Goya brand Croquettas are pretty perfect. Honestly, after our visit to Miami a few months ago, I think the Goya frozen Croquettas made in the air fryer, are better than Vicky Bakery’s!
Vortex Plus Air Fryer Croquettas
Recipe by Lana Horruitiner-Perez
- Goya Frozen Croquettas (Ham or Chicken)
This recipe works with either the Ham or the Chicken Croquettas.
Press the “BROIL” button which will automatically set the temperature to 400 degrees F. Set the Time to 6 minutes. Press “START”.
While waiting for the Vortex Plus oven to preheat, get the croquettas ready. Place up to 8 Croquettas on the baking tray. Make sure there is some space between the croquettas and they are not crowded or touching.
When the Vortex Plus beeps and displays “ADD FOOD”, place the baling rack in the middle position and close the door.
After 4 minutes of cooking, open the door and using tongs, push the croquettas over to flip them. Allow to cook for another 2 minutes.
Remove from the oven and serve. Buen Provecho!
